Sump Alarm 8266 is a WiFi Sump Pump Alarm System for your sump pump. So long as you sign up for the service,
the Alarm will notify you via text message if any of the following conditions occur:
1. The Water Level in Your Sump Basin is High.
2. There is a Power Outage at Your Home.
3. The Internet is Down at Your Home.
Sump Alarm 8266 also sounds an audible alarm if a high water condition occurs in your sump basin.
Sump Alarm 8266 connects to your existing WiFi Network and sends data to our server every minute.
If a high water condition exists in your sump basin it will set off an audible alarm and will notify
the server. The server will then send you a text message notifying you about the problem.
The server will also send text message when the power is out at your home or the internet is
down and the alarm is unable to send data to the server. If the power is off at your home your sump pump is
unable to pump water out of your sump basin. This could lead to basement flooding if the condition is not
corrected
The server will also send a text message to your Dealer advising him of the condition. A
representative will contact you to determine whether you need assistance restoring your power or need a
sump pump replacement.
You will also have access to your personal control panel that will allow you to watch your alarm in action.
You can get a Sump Alarm 8266 by contacting an authorized Dealer, or if there is no dealer available in your area, you can get one directly from us and install it yourself. There is also a portable retail version that is available for those that do not wish to have a more permanent installation with conduit. The portable version attaches to your existing sump pump pipe (like the galvanized pipe in the picture below) with a metal bracket, and the float sensor attaches to the lower pipe on a metal bracket with zip ties. No conduit is needed. You could install it with pliers and a screwdriver.
Generally, $499.00 installed, plus $4.99 a month for the text messaging service (the service is currently free but subject to change in the future). The price varies among authorized dealers and depends on whether additional electrical work needs to be done to get power to the alarm. The alarm is powered by a plug-in AC to DC Transformer.
